If no, that's ok! The content of this workshop is intended for music therapists and music therapy students however it is open for registrations from interested non-music therapists.
Laura Thomson (nee Morell) is a dedicated and enthusiastic allied health professional who combines her knowledge in speech pathology and music therapy to support her clients. Graduating as a registered music therapist from the University of Queensland in 2014, Laura worked in Brisbane where she supported children and adults with disabilities in private practice. Laura completed neurologic music therapy training in 2016, and was actively involved in the AMTA QLD committee from 2015-2019. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to completing a Masters of Speech Pathology at Griffith University.
Laura has been based in Darwin, NT since 2020. She currently works in a large multidisciplinary private practice as a senior speech pathologist, utilising a primary therapist/key worker model to support children and families in their speech, language, literacy, AAC, and mealtime needs.
Laura is passionate about fostering collaborative relationships among therapists. She believes in the power of shared knowledge and teamwork to comprehensively address the needs of children and their families.
